The Stamford Observatory is a research facility used by members of the Fairfield County Astronomical Society. The Observatory is open to the public Friday nights at 8:00pm-10:00pm, weather permitting. Visitors of all ages can enjoy viewing the moon, planets and deep space objects through our 22-inch research telescope, (presentations are suitable for ages 5 and up). Rent the Observatory for events
Feel free to inquire about scheduling use of our Observatory or building for school trips, scout troops, private parties, and events. Our flat fee is $100. This includes use of our telescope. Our lecture room can accomodate up to sixty people and we can supply tables and chairs. Anything else must be brought in by the renter. Please contact us for more information and to schedule your rental date.
